Welcome to the Wrenthorpe Community Association website

Welcome to the Wrenthorpe Community Website. We hope you enjoy browsing through what we have to offer. There are so many things going on in Wrenthorpe and we aim to cover them all!

We try to keep the information on the website accurate but please check before going along to any of the activities detailed or using the information provided.

Who are we?

This site is run by volunteers from Wrenthorpe Community Association. As well as being a charity, the Wrenthorpe Community Association is now a company limited by guarantee, and as such the former committee members are now unpaid directors.

What do we do?

The directors are responsible for the lettings and management of Wrenthorpe Village Hall and the Community Centre at Valley Crescent. The Association also aims to enhance the local community spirit and help people work and play together!

  • We organise plays and other social events in the Village Hall and Valley Crescent Centre.
  • As well as maintaining this website, we produce the ‘Wrenthorpe Matters’ newsletter three times per year and times per year and a team of volunteers distributes it to every house in Wrenthorpe.
  • We are responsible for the Community Café on Wednesday mornings at Valley Crescent Centre.
  • Through our Facebook page we try and keep up to
date with any issues that affect our community and publicise these and feed in local opinions
  • Our volunteers run an indoor bowling club in the Village Hall
