This is to keep you updated on progress with setting up the Plan.
The Planning regulations require 21 people to sign up to be Forum members. At the Sunday drop-in launch, there were more than 21 who signed up, so the Plan group had an inaugural meeting on Friday 3 Aug to vote in a management committee, agree lead persons for the working groups and agree the constitution. Julie Baker (who is a WCA director) has been voted on as Chair. The Group has submitting the constitution to the Council, along with a proposed boundary for Wrenthorpe and a list of Forum members. This is just the start while the Council do their consultation with the community which could take between 13 – 20 weeks.
The Group intends to stay active during this time:
- making sure that the community know about the council consultation as they will need to vote it in,
- setting up working groups,
- creating a website and a Facebook page.
There’s a consultation map of the proposed Wrenthorpe boundary on the noticeboard inside the Village Hall.
The Group has set dates for Forum meetings: 4th October, 1st November and 13th December 2018 all to be held at Valley Crescent Meeting house at 19.00hrs.
