The Association is responsible for the maintenance and management of the Village Hall and Valley Crescent Centre and for fostering the community spirit in the village. A newsletter, Wrenthorpe Matters, is produced in April, August and November each year and delivered to every house in the village.
The two venues host a wide range of regular and casual users, covering social, educational, leisure and commercial activities. This website is supported by the Association as a free resource for the people of Wrenthorpe and the surrounding area.

Wrenthorpe Gardening Club, which is open to everyone, meets every first Wednesday of the month in the Village Hall at 7.30 pm. The annual membership is £5, and guests are asked to pay one pound. There is a varied programme of talks and visits but the busiest occasions are the annual Spring Flower Show on the first Sunday of April, and the Open Gardens Weekend every two years on the first weekend in July which raises money for charities. The show is recognised by the Daffodil Society and draws entries from right across the North of England, while the open gardens weekend raises over £2,000.
The monthly meetings range from talks from specialist growers to light hearted presentations from top speakers, and the popular Christmas party. Why not contact one of the officials for more information or just come along to one of our meetings where you will get a warm welcome and a cup of tea!
